Joy-Anna Duggar’s husband, Austin Forsyth, professed his undying love for her in a sweet wedding day letter that the newlyweds have released for fans to see earlier this week.
“My dearest love,” the letter begins. “The very thought of getting to be your husband is very humbling and a great honor. You are truly a gift from our Heavenly Father. The way that we have been brought together is very evident that we serve a God who cares so much for us. I try to imagine God’s unmerited favor the best example I know is how He has blessed me with you!”
The letter continues: “You are such a woman of character, the heart you have for Him, His word, and His people has challenged me time and time again to love Him and you all the more. Getting to spend time with you is my favorite thing. You are fun, enthusiastic, adventurous, and always willing to try new things. I love you with all my heart and can’t wait to grow deeper in love with you!”
Duggar and Forsyth exchanged vows at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas, on Friday, May 26, before 1,002 family and friends; memorably, Duggar’s younger brother Joseph proposed to his girlfriend, Caldwell, at the reception following Joy-Anna’s wedding.
“It was all so surreal until I was walking down the aisle,” Joy-Anna told People magazine following the ceremony. “Then I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, it’s actually here.’”
The newlyweds, who got to know each other well over a 15-year friendship, will next take some time traveling for their honeymoon.
“I don’t even know all of how it feels to be husband and wife,” Joy-Anna told TLC immediately after their nuptials, “but so far, it’s incredible.”
TLC’s Counting On kicks off with a back-to-back, two-episode premiere beginning with Joy Anna and Austin’s one hour wedding special at 9/8c on Monday, June 12.
