Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox have admittedly hit rough patches in their 13-year relationship, but the stars have evidently managed to work through their differences.
The former Beverly Hills, 90210 actor got candid this week with People and other reporters at an event about working through his marriage following the couple’s brief separation in 2015. As recalled, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles actress filed documents to split, but the couple ended up reuniting the following year.
“I don’t know what the secret is,” Green confessed. “Just stick it out. Like fighting and making up, believing in each other.”
Green said his love for Fox has remained steady. “I’ve dated people before and you kind of get to that point where you go, ‘You know what, I don’t feel the same way,’” he reflected. “And I’ve never reached that with her.”
He added, “I think what makes her great is she says what she means, she’s not afraid of anyone, she’s opinionated and badass.”
During their separation, the couple announced that they’re expecting a child together. They now share three boys, Noah, 4, Bodhi, 3, and Journey, 9 months. He’s also dad to a teenage son named Kassius. “I have four boys at home, and I feel like it’s my job to help them understand that we are all equal,” Green continued. “Especially during this time with this administration. That anyone can accomplish anything. It doesn’t matter what sex you are.”
The couple will celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary in June. Green and Fox married in an intimate sunset ceremony with Kassius as their sole witness.
