From World Series win to his wedding! Chicago Cubs superstar Kris Bryant married his high school sweetheart, Jessica Delp, in Las Vegas on Saturday, January 7.
The couple, who’ve been together for nine whopping years, announced their newlywed status by posting professional wedding images by J. Anne Photography on their Instagram accounts. Proud new husband Bryant, 25, declared the news with a sweet image of himself gazing adoringly at his bride while strolling exploring their wedding venue, the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa.
“Mr. & Mrs. Bryant!!” the third baseman captioned the photo. Delp then echoed her husband by posting another airy image from their sunshine-filled nuptials. Both bride and groom were raised in the Vegas area, and started dating as sophomores while attending Bonanza High School.
Guests included Bryant’s teammates Anthony Rizzo and Jason Heyward, as well as MLB slugger Bryce Harper, who got married in December. Many of the couple’s friends and family members seemingly enjoyed the photo booth at het nuptials and surrounded the bride and groom for their final dance—with sparklers!
“Last dance with my WIFE!!” Bryant captioned the black and white snapshot. “And because @j.annephotography killed it!”
The pair got engaged in December 2015 and memorably made headlines after staging their engagement session in Wrigley Field. In 2016, the Chicago Cubs finally ended a century-old drought and nabbed the team’s first World Series victory in 108 years. Delp proudly accompanied the National League MVP on the team’s World Series Parade float in November.

Prior to their wedding on Saturday, Delp thoughtfully recognized her fiance’s eventful year with a fitting birthday cake—complete with a timeline of Bryant’s jaw-dropping accomplishments all set before his 25th birthday. “Planning a wedding and moving in to a new house, yet she still finds time to surprise me with an awesome cake!” Bryant captioned the sweet moment. “@jessica_delp is a keeper! Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes!”
