Celebrities are bridesmaids too, and one designer is thrilled that her pieces have become prolific among talent. Designer Jenny Yoo, who attended The Knot Gala on Monday, October 9, tells The Knot how she reacted when Grammy winner Taylor Swift wore one of her designs in a friend’s recent wedding.
“To be honest, I had no idea,” Yoo says of the dress pick. “When that all circulated on social media, we were so happy and excited. She happened to wear one of our most popular bridesmaids dresses, which is the convertible.”
The “Look What You Made Me Do” singer served as the maid of honor in high school best friend Abigail Anderson’s wedding last month, and fit right into the role in Yoo’s “Mira” design. Swift opted for a halter neckline, one of the 15-plus options that make Jenny Yoo’s convertible gowns one of the most versatile (and sought-after) bridesmaid dresses on the market. The other bridesmaids in Anderson’s wedding party wore other silhouettes all in the Hibiscus color.
“She wore it flawlessly,” Yoo adds, “and the wearability to mix it all up to try and change the neckline.” Other stars to sport versions of her convertible gowns include Lady Gaga and Eva Longoria.

The designer says to expect even more beyond the ever-popular convertible designs. “Going forward, we’ve been really experimenting with embroideries and prints,” Yoo says. “That’s what we’re having a lot of success with—and mixing into solids—so we’re really expanding into special occasion where re-wearability is key for bridesmaids.”
