Looking forward now! Country singer Maggie Rose married her fiance and longtime manager, Austin Marshall, on Saturday, June 4, her rep confirms exclusively to The Knot.
The bride and groom exchanged vows in Our Lady of Mercy in Potomac, Maryland, the very church where Rose was raised since her childhood. The “Same Sky” artist and Marshall were pronounced husband and wife before an intimate group of their closest friends and family.
The couple, grateful for the vast support they’ve received from their loved ones, were focused on making their family members feel as if they had big roles in the ceremony. Rose followed family tradition by getting married in the same church as her parents, aunt and uncle, and several of her in-laws.
For the nuptials, Rose embraced the traditional with a vintage bohemian aesthetic. The bride stunned in a custom gown with an illusion neckline and a beautifully-beaded, white-lace overlay. Rose actually helped create the piece under the direction of Nashville-based designer Olia Zavozina. Her bridesmaids, meanwhile, wore coordinating chiffon dresses by Amsale.
Marshall and his groomsmen looked dapper in tuxedos by Vera Wang, and updated the traditionally-classic evening-wear with slimmer fits and added contemporary details.
Rose’s mother, Lizz Durante, took the lead on Saturday night as the occasion’s wedding planner. The mother of the bride and her daughter opted for a fresh color palette that included lilac, nude, sage, blush and light blue hues. The early summer wedding was both romantic and in part, bohemian.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests continued the festivities at the Congressional Country Club, where the bride’s father served as president in 2014.
Marshall proposed to Rose in March 2015, during a memorable performance at Bethesda Blues and Jazz in her home state. At the time, the groom sang a duet with his then-girlfriend, and shocked her when he dropped down to one knee on-stage following their set.
The couple will enjoy a quick honeymoon, before the singer continues her tour starting next Saturday, June 11. She will perform at the CMA Music Fest in Nashville, Tennessee.
