Though Property Brothers’ Drew Scott and his fiancee, Linda Phan are busy planning their destination wedding, the future spouses are still making time for a massive home renovation.
Fans of the HGTV show will get the inside look at Scott and Phan’s restoration process in a four-part television special set to air in November. The spin-off will be dubbed Property Brothers at Home: Drew’s Honeymoon House.
Scott, 38, and Phan, 31, are keeping the stakes especially high for this particular project. According to USA Today, the couple is intent on having their Los Angeles home renovated in time to host their wedding rehearsal dinner.
“HGTV fans have followed Drew and Linda’s relationship over the years and we are all more than ready to see them finally seal the deal and move into a new home,” HGTV senior VP, John Field, shared in a recent statement. “We may not get a wedding invitation, but all of us will get a front row seat to the most important renovation and reveal that the guys have ever done. Drew must deliver for Linda.”
Scott proposed to Phan last December after six years of dating. From the moment they met at a 2010 fashion show in Toronto, the entrepreneur was drawn to Phan’s beauty and energy. By their second date, he knew he had found someone special. “She could finish my jokes before I hit the punch line,” he told People back in March.
Scott’s twin brother and business partner, Jonathan, immediately saw the spark. “I remember him leaning in and saying, ‘Who’s this girl? How is she finishing these inside jokes from things that we did when we were kids?’” Scott concluded to the magazine. “That’s when I knew she was the one.”
