After three short months of intense planning and fun-filled celebrations with friends, Witney Carson is a married woman! To celebrate the New Year, the Dancing With the Stars professional dancer, 22, married longtime love, Carson McAllister on Friday, January 1, The Knot can confirm. The couple wed in a religious ceremony in Utah’s Salt Lake City area and held a reception NOAH’s event venue in Lindon. And you would never know that the bride and her groom only started planning in early October.
“Can’t believe today is the day!!! Finally get to be with my love forever and all eternity,” Carson captioned an Instagram photo herself and McAllister, 23, on New Year’s Day. “Can’t wait to share with all of you the details.” The beautiful photo of the couple was shot by their engagement photographer India Earl.
Carson wore a Rivini by Rita Vinieris wedding dress that featured lace long sleeves. She had her bridal makeup done by Vivian Johnson and hair by Dean Banowetz, InStyler Global Artist and InStyler Style Team.
What takes most brides several months – and even years – to pull off, Carson managed to do in three months time with the help of celebrity wedding planner Michael Russo. The bride knew she wanted a hometown wedding, and she gave fans a glimpse of her dreamy venue during the couple’s mid-December wintry engagement photo shoot. “There will definitely be elements of the winter wonderland shoot in our wedding,” Carson shared in an exclusive interview with The Knot. “We want it to be rustic, woodsy and romantic and I think when it all comes together it’ll be magical!”
And magical it was! Friends and family gathered to celebrate the nuptials of the stunning bride and her groom including many of Carson’s fellow dancers from DWTS. Emma Slater shared a glimpse of the Amsale bridesmaid dresses and L Floral Studio bouquets on Instagram.

The wedding party received gifts of monogrammed clutches for the girls and wallets for the guys by Gigi New York. Wedding guests were treated to catering by State Street feed and supply in Lindon and cake and cupcakes by Sugar Kisses.
Carson shared openly with fans while planning for her January wedding, although the specific date was a surprise. “The wedding will be this January, and yes it’s quick!” she shared with The Knot about her short engagement. “We don’t like to waste any time.”
Before the wedding, Carson had a bridal shoot with photographer India Earl and shared some photos of her stunning makeup looks on Instagram. Earl told The Knot that Carson wore her wedding dress for the photos and they chose a different setting and look from the engagement shoot. “We wanted something more unique for Witney, and something different from bridals that was still true to both our styles,” Earl explained. “We chose three amazing locations for the bridal shoot for variety and different feels to the photos, but they do all have a wintery feel.”
McAllister also joined the shoot and Earl said he got emotional when he saw his bride-to-be.”We did a first look with them and it was one of the sweetest I’ve ever seen,” Earl told The Knot. “He had the cutest most excited face when he turned around and even cried while he hugged her. My heart was melting the whole time.”
“They radiate love,” she added. “I’ve shot probably a hundred weddings, and I don’t think I’ve ever worked with two people that look at each other with as much love as they do. You can see it in their eyes and with how they act together. They’re so happy together, and it shows through in all their pictures.”
The duo dated for four years before becoming engaged in October, when McAllister surprised Carson with a romantic seaside proposal.
The planning may have been a whirlwind, but we’re sure this happy couple will have no problem settling into married life. Congratulations to the McAllisters! The journey has just begun.
