You know the famous line, “All You Need is Love?” Well, the latest episode of 90 Day Fiance, which aired November 22, may have fans second-guessing that logic.

The episode, entitled “Don’t Push Me,” is a hodgepodge of apprehension and strained conversations. Viewers are wishing the couples would loosen up a little, but it seems everyone is filled with uncertainty and pre-wedding jitters. We have moved from musing over which couples will make it down the aisle to wondering if any of them will (or should). If you’re curious as to why the 90 Day couples are struggling, we’re happy to fill you in…

Mark & Nikki: Where do we start with this pair? Nikki goes shopping with Mark’s daughter, Elise, and the two seem to hit it off. Nikki desperately needs someone to confide in, as she tends to keep quiet around her fiance, who is very set in his ways. Mark decides to whisk his bride-to-be away for a couple of days in Ocean City. As usual, he tells stories of  his ex-wife and other women from long ago; Nikki appears to be miserable, finally admitting to Mark that she does not want to hear about his past. Will Mark be able to move on and stop dwelling on his romance gone wrong? We’re doubtful, but time will surely tell…

Fernando & Carolina: Carolina is in America now! Her visa was approved, and the Colombian beauty wasted no time getting on a plane to reunite with her fiance. He’s thrilled, but she’s nervous… and rightly so! Fernando’s mother is ready to pounce on Carolina from the beginning, and since the couple will be living with Fernando’s parents, we predict many cat fights in the not-so-distant future. Both women have strong personalities and a love for Fernando. His mother is feeling unimportant and is sure her son won’t need her now that his fiance has arrived. Fernando jokingly anticipates that the women will be “frenemies,” but we’re sensing a whole lot more “enemy” than “friend.” Oh boy…

Aleksandra & Josh: All of the couples are moving fast, but these two are literally counting down the days until their wedding. With only a week to go before their daughter is set to say “I do,” Aleksandra’s parents fly in for the nuptials. After an emotional meeting at the airport, both sets of parents are introduced to each other. Rather than stay in a hotel, Aleksandra’s parents will be temporarily living with Josh’s family. Aleksandra steps in as interpreter due to the language barrier, and Josh’s parents set Aleksandra’s mom and dad’s minds at ease, assuring them that living as a Mormon does not lead to men marrying multiple women. Will Aleksandra and Josh be the first to become Mr. and Mrs. this season? Our fingers are crossed for the young lovebirds.

Kyle & Noon: Kyle surprises Noon by taking her to a Buddhist temple in New Orleans. Noon feels at home there, and we’re wondering if the beautiful location may serve as the couple’s wedding venue. Kyle admits to his bride-to-be that he hasn’t spoken to his mother in 10 years. Noon is family-oriented and wants her fiance to reach out to his mom. Kyle’s mother has a “problem” that he doesn’t wish to burden his future wife with. Although he’s not quick to share information, we’re getting to know Kyle a little more each week. He clearly hasn’t had an ideal family situation in the past, but maybe marrying Noon will prove to be a turning point for the flirty bartender? We shall see…

Alexei & Loren: In a heart-to-heart chat, Alexei tells Loren he has no desire to pursue modeling. Loren seems to be willing to let her dreams of having an underwear model husband go, but we have a sneaking suspicion there are about to be more heart-to-hearts coming very soon. Just a hunch!

Melanie & Devar: After going for a run, the couple takes a break and chats about their financial concerns. Melanie is feeling the pressure of her role as sole provider for her family, and the cost of the upcoming wedding has her on edge. The bride-to-be goes wedding dress shopping with her mother and friends, opting to try on simple, inexpensive gowns. She finds the perfect dress, marking one more to-do off her list. We couldn’t help but notice that Melanie’s son has not shown up in the last few episodes. His absence may mean nothing, but it does have us wondering…

Sneak Peek: Things are about to get very interesting for Alexei and Loren! In a preview of episode eight, we learn that Loren’s sister and best friend are coming to visit, and the bachelorette party planner (Loren’s best friend, Sarah) has a few surprises in store. Upon meeting Alexei, Sarah is less-than-impressed with her BFF’s fiance. She’s refusing to divulge her party plans, but when Alexei insists on “no strippers,” his plea is met with an awkward silence. We sense drama on the horizon… as always.
