90 Day Fiance fans have been anxiously awaiting the season three premiere, and the wait is officially over! On the October 11 season opener, viewers were introduced to four of six brand new couples and left with lots of questions about what’s to come.
In case you missed the premiere or just want a brief recap of this highly anticipated show, here’s a rundown of the new couples who are sure to make a big impression this season on 90 Day Fiance:
Alexei & Loren: Loren is a 27-year-old executive assistant working in New York. She is incredibly outgoing and met Alexei on a trip to Israel. Alexei, also 27, is waiting on his K-1 visa and is unable to move to the United States at this point, so Loren and her parents fly to Canada to meet him. Her dad is skeptical: “My big concern is that he’s gonna break her heart.” Loren is lovable, and as a viewer, it’s difficult not to share her dad’s concern. Loren is planning on moving to her parents’ home in Florida to support herself and her new fiance once he is able to move to the U.S. It will be interesting to see how this relationship plays out.
Mark & Nikki: Mark is a 58-year-old father-of-four from Maryland who owns a piano rental business. Mark’s first wife was from the Philippines, and after having their children, she left them. After 27 years of raising his family, Mark is ready to share his life with someone. He met Nikki, 19, in the Philippines and says the 39-year age gap between himself and his fiance shouldn’t be an issue. “I believe if you can find happiness with a consenting adult, there’s no explanations needed.” Although Mark describes his first meeting with Nikki as “magic,” he worries that his young fiance will become bored with his low-key lifestyle. His daughter is also not on-board with the relationship. Rather than talking through his engagement to his children, Mark chose to make the big announcement on Facebook. Communication could be a problem here.
Aleksandra & Josh: Josh is a 22-year-old soft-spoken Mormon from Idaho, determined to live a party-free, no-sex-until-marriage lifestyle. He fell in love with Aleksandra, 21, on a mission trip to the Czech Republic, and she made a commitment to change her life. The adjustment may prove difficult for Aleksandra, who is accustomed to drinking and the club life. Josh is completely smitten with her. Our fingers are crossed for these two!
Melanie & Devar: Melanie is a 33-year-old nurse from Pennsylvania. She has an 11-year-old son who is her top priority. Melanie met Devar, 28, on a trip to Jamaica. After asking him to go for a run with her, the pair was inseparable. Devar, who spends most of his days on the beach in Jamaica, will be trading in his party lifestyle to step in as a father-figure for Melanie’s son. Her friends are skeptical about Devar’s intentions.
