About time! NFL superstar Aaron Rodgers finally addressed his younger brother Jordan Rodgers’ appearance on The Bachelorette.
Jordan, who’s one of JoJo Fletcher‘s season 12 finalists alongside Robby Hayes, has slowly opened up about his tense relationship with his famous big brother as the season’s progressed. The estrangement was particularly exposed last week during hometown dates when JoJo met the rest of the Rodgers family in Chico, California, and came armed with questions.
Aaron and Jordan’s brother Luke Rodgers said the situation was tough for all parties. “It pains both of us like, not to have that relationship [with Aaron] – we miss our brother,” Luke said to JoJo. “I trust that God brings things full circle and that everything would just get back to us being a family.”
On Tuesday, July 26, Aaron finally commented on Jordan’s reality stint — and his portrayal on the series.
“As far as those kinds of things go, I’ve always found that it’s a little inappropriate to talk publicly about some family matters,” the Green Bay Packers quarterback told ABC’s Milwaukee affiliate WISN-TV at training camp. “So I’m just … I’m not going to speak on those things, but I wish him well in the competition.”
The Super Bowl MVP, 32, who’s famously dating Olivia Munn, hasn’t tuned in to watch his younger brother’s quest for love. “I haven’t seen the show, to be honest with you,” Aaron concluded Tuesday. “So it hasn’t really affected me a whole lot.”
The season 12 finale of The Bachelorette airs Monday, August 1, on ABC.
