That’s Amore! Three months after a sweeping Parisian proposal, former Disney star Adrienne Bailon and gospel singer Israel Houghton returned to the City of Light this past weekend for their wedding.
The couple married in an intimate ceremony on Friday, November 11, surrounded by their close family members and friends, including Bailon’s co-hosts on The Real. The show’s cameras were also on hand to document the bride and groom’s magical nuptials inside the famed Hotel Plaza Athénée.
On Monday, November 14, The Real released several teasers from the couple’s nuptials to The Knot and other outlets. One shows the couple — who’ve publicly vowed to remain celibate until their wedding — exchanging their first kiss as husband and wife during their ceremony.
Another inside sneak peek features their first dance. Naturally, the newlyweds couldn’t resist from exchanging another kiss while taking their spots on the dance floor.
The final preview clip shows the pair cutting into their delicious cake. (The Knot exclusively revealed a preview of the couple stopping by Baby Bea’s Cupcakes in Beverly Hills, California, for their wedding cake tasting. At the time, Bailon was fully focused on maintaining her best figure ahead of her wedding, but happily indulged in a slice of red velvet.)
Houghton, 45, set up a romantic proposal for Bailon, 33, in August. While sharing her wedding day photos with People, the 3LW singer told the magazine that she felt “so blessed and grateful” to be marrying her longtime friend. “I’ve never felt what I feel right now,” she added. “I can’t even describe what it is, but it’s such a peace mixed with total excitement.”
