Care for some cake? Ahead of their upcoming wedding, lovebirds Adrienne Bailon and Israel Houghton recently went cake tasting in hopes to find the perfect confection for their special day.
The future bride and groom had The Real’s production crew document various aspects of the planning process, and in this particular case, to capture the mouthwatering experience on camera. Here, The Knot gets an exclusive first-look at their divine cake-tasting excursion. Watch below!
Armed with high standards, Bailon and Houghton stopped into their bakery of choice—Baby Bea’s Cupcakes in Beverly Hills—to test a variety of scrumptious options.
“We want it to look aesthetically stunning,” Bailon says, while her fiance adorably adds: “And then we want it to taste aesthetically stunning.”
The two are presented with a slice of red velvet cake adorned with cream cheese icing. Bailon, who’s been rigorous about her meals while planning the wedding, enthusiastically tries a bite.
“This is beautiful. I might cry,” she says. “I’ve missed you!” (Bailon made headlines last week when she revealed in an interview that she’s already lost 15 pounds before her wedding day.)
The former Disney star and Houghton, a chart-topping Christian singer, got engaged in Paris in August. “I’ve taken a giant leap of faith in asking her to share life with me forever and to give me a shot at getting it right this time,” Houghton wrote at the time on Instagram. “She has graciously granted my request… She said yes. Thanks Be To God.”
