Oh la la! After an eventful wedding weekend in Paris, newlyweds Adrienne Bailon and Israel Houghton recalled a rather intimate memory from their luxe nuptials on Tuesday, November 15.
Devoted new husband Houghton joined Bailon and her fellow co-hosts on The Real to discuss their wedding, which was held at the famed Hotel Plaza Athénée. The couple adorably revealed footage of their first kiss as husband and wife, their first dance at the reception, and more. Then, they broached the topic of their wedding night.
Both Bailon, 33, and Houghton, 45, publicly vowed to remain celibate until marriage, so the bride prepared something special in advance.
“You don’t understand, we’ve waited for this moment,” Houghton, a gospel singer, said Tuesday. “So I opened the door and I had to kick Shane [The Real’s cameraman] out, because he was following us around. Like, ‘You gotta go. Thank you for following us this far, but your time is up. Feel free to go to bed.'”
Inside the suite, Bailon had a lavish surprise prepared. “When I opened the door, I walked in and I saw these gigantic portraits all over the suite of this beautiful woman,” Houghton recalled as he motioned toward his wife. “Um… not wearing much at all!”
After bursting out into laughter, Bailon explained that they’re called “boudoir photos”—and she sought the help of her fellow co-hosts. “What I love best is you didn’t know anything about them, but they all did,” the former 3LW singer shared. “They approved them, they picked which ones had my best angle.”

Bailon wasn’t the only one at the table to wait until marriage. Her fellow co-hosts Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry-Housley also remained celibate before marrying their husbands. “We waited,” Mai shared. “We wanted to make sure our husbands had–as John Legend would say–‘All of Me.'”
