So romantic. Alex Rodriguez shared a behind-the-scenes moment from his proposal to Jennifer Lopez late Sunday, March 10, after the superstar couple announced their engagement this weekend.
The former Yankees player, 43, took to Instagram Stories to share a short video clip of the romantic setting he had arranged for Lopez, including a trail of red rose petals leading from the hallway to the bedroom.
Inside the room, Rodriguez scattered petals on the bed to read, “I [love] u,” along with six rose stems at the base.
Rodriguez proposed to Lopez with a large emerald-cut, diamond engagement ring after two years of dating. “She said yes,” he captioned the photo, while Lopez added a series of hearts with the same pic on her social media page.
Experts tell The Knot that the ring, which boasts a 15-carat diamond, is valued at $1 million minimum.
It will be the fourth marriage for the Wedding Planner actress and Rodriguez’s second. Lopez shares twins Emme and Max with her third husband Marc Anthony, while Rodriguez is dad to two girls, Ella and Natasha, with his former wife Cynthia Scurtis.
