She’s getting hitched! After canceling her wedding twice within the last year, Ali Fedotowsky revealed this week that she and her fiance, Kevin Manno, have officially set a date.
“The date is set. I can say that it’s early 2017,” the season 6 Bachelorette told Page Six on Wednesday. The two have also secured a location, opting to remain in California rather than going the destination route.
“We’re really excited,” she said. “And we always joke that we couldn’t find a cute enough flower girl so we made our own. Little Molly will be our flower girl. I’m pumped. I have my dress and we’re almost there!”
In June, the reality star exclusively revealed to The Knot that she and Manno canned two different sets of wedding plans. “Originally, we planned the whole wedding in Mexico,” the Ali Luvs blogger told us at the time. “We were super excited. We found the most amazing location and villa that would allow our entire family to stay with us. Then, all the news broke about the Zika virus and we had to cancel.”
Fedotowsky, who got engaged to Manno in September 2015, called the moment a “huge disappointment.” She added: “Even though we won’t be pregnant when we get married, we just didn’t think it was fair to ask our guests to travel to a location with active Zika virus transmissions … Most of our friends are in ‘baby mode,’ and that just wasn’t a fair ask.”
The couple had also planned to marry in California this past January. “We ended up pushing that back too because we found out I was pregnant,” Fedotowsky told The Knot in the same interview. “Could we have kept the date? Sure. But I like to celebrate and celebrate with champagne!”
Fedotowsky and Manno welcomed their baby girl, Molly Sullivan Manno, this past July. “I want to be able to let loose and completely enjoy myself at my wedding,” she concluded in the same interview. “I didn’t know how pregnancy would affect me so I didn’t want to risk feeling crappy on my wedding day. It’s a good thing we didn’t get married then because I was so sick at the beginning of my pregnancy. It would have been a rough night for me.”
