Actress Allison Williams gets married again… well, kind of. HBO recently released the Girls season five trailer where we learned that Williams’ character will be getting hitched this season, and even caught a peek at Marnie’s wedding and bridesmaid dresses!
The epitome of a bohemian bride, Williams’ character is shown effortlessly rocking a vintage wedding dress with long sleeves, complete with a flower crown. Marnie’s wedding dress is by Stone Fox Bride and features a V-neckline, layered silk crepe and lace with cotton applique detail.
“The Glenda dress was inspired by a 1920s vintage ombré bell sleeve gown that was ethereal and edgy all at once,” says Molly Guy, founder and creative director of Stone Fox Bride. “Named after the Good Witch from The Wizard of Oz, it’s our most bohemian design to date. The women who get married in it tend to favor Stevie Nicks as their style icon and couldn’t care less about tradition, convention or making their mother-in-law happy. It’s a free-spirited statement gown that pairs well with outdoor wedding venues, 10 foot veils adorned with fresh flower crowns and bare, happy feet.”

Also shown are Williams’ on-screen bridesmaids, Lena Dunham (who plays Hannah), Zosia Mamet (who plays Shoshanna) and Jemima Kirke (who plays Jessa), all wearing lilac bridesmaid dresses. Marnie’s bridesmaid dresses are from Dessy.
This news comes on the heels of the Williams and Ricky Van Veen’s wedding in Wyoming this September. In real life, the actress sported a much more classic (if not reminiscent of Kate Middleton’s wedding dress) custom gown from Oscar de la Renta with sheer long sleeves and a feminine illusion neckline. She posted a photo on Instagram revealing the look with the caption, “This pretty much sums up my feeling about the whole weekend. Thank you all for the well-wishes, and thanks to everyone who made it possible. Photo by @christianothstudio.”

Unlike her own wedding, Williams’ character Marnie has a makeup malfunction on her wedding day. “My makeup is insane,” Marnie complains in the trailer. “It’s not insane,” Hannah replies. “If we just take it down a little…around the face,” See a glimpse of Marnie and her bridesmaids prepping for the wedding in the trailer below. The hit HBO comedy Girls returns for its fifth season on Sunday, Feb. 21.
