Bakers gonna bake, and Allison Williams finally had her cake. The Girls actress marked her second anniversary with entrepreneur Ricky Van Veen on Tuesday, September 19, and to celebrate, the couple sliced into their wedding cake from 2015.
Williams, 29, posted a photo of her white, four-tier cake, which included an adorable Polaroid topper and was embellished with a bountiful display of greenery at the bottom. The actress also revealed an image of her preserved confection.
“Turns out, if your wedding cake is made with ingredients from a box per your demands (store-bought funfetti and frosting), it’s still delicious even two years later — after you forget to eat it on your first anniversary,” Williams captioned the photo. “Happy second anniversary, Ricky. I love you.”
Williams and Van Veen married in 2015 at the Brush Creek Ranch in Saratoga, Wyoming. The bride wore a long-sleeve, lace couture gown by Oscar de la Renta, and photos were captured by Christian Oth Studio.

About 150 to 200 guests witnessed the nuptials, including the bride’s Girls co-stars Zosia Mamet (who married in the Hudson Valley last fall), Jemima Kirke, and Lena Dunham. Other celeb guests included designer Diane von Furstenberg, Seth Meyers, Mindy Paling, John Mayer, Katy Perry, and more.
The best part about the ceremony? Beloved wedding crasher Tom Hanks officiated the nuptials, and of course, journalist Brian Williams walked Allison down the aisle.
Van Veen is the co-founder of CollegeHumor, and now works at Facebook.
