America Ferrera and Ryan Piers Williams first met in college at the University of Southern California, and now the two are celebrating 12 years of togetherness with a romantic trip to Iceland.
The actress, 33, has been documenting the getaway daily with a series of hilarious Instagram posts. From posing as vikings to pretending to drink the country’s famous waterfalls, the pair appear to be having an amazing time.

The former Ugly Betty star posted a humorous video of she and her hubby swimming in the Blue Lagoon. She looked hilariously horrified as Williams feigned being pulled underwater. “Well, we had a nice run. #worthit #bluelagoon,” she mused.
“12 years of this… #HappyAnniversary,” Ferrera captioned a post of the couple blowing dandelions.

Ferrera and Williams, 36, got engaged in June 2010 and married one year later. The couple exchanged vows in an intimate outdoor ceremony at Vanessa Williams’ home in upstate New York. The guest list included many famous folks, including Ugly Betty costars Williams and Rebecca Romijn. Fellow Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants actresses, Alexis Bledel, Blake Lively, and Amber Tamblyn also attended.
Over the years, Ferrera has had nothing but kind words to say about her producer husband. “Being married is definitely an emotional stabilizer,” she told U.K. newspaper The Independent in a 2014 interview. “We’ve been together a long time so, in a way, we kind of grew up together.”
