Sometimes the most magical love stories are the real-life ones! American Idol crooner Colton Dixon married his princess Annie Coggeshall on the evening of January 8, and the couple was positively glowing after exchanging “I do’s.”
The Christian singer, who came in seventh place on the eleventh season of the reality singing competition American Idol, made it official in a Nashville, Tennessee ceremony. The fairytale wedding took place at the Scarritt Bennett wedding venue, The Knot can confirm.

Like a true Prince Charming, Dixon stepped away from the limelight and let his bride capture all the attention on their wedding day. She wore a perfectly-fitting strapless gown with a full, princess-worthy skirt.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds continued the celebration with a reception at the Bell Tower in Nashville, as confirmed to The Knot. “[The] historic church location [dates] back to 1874,” according to their website, and “has been transformed to a modern open floor plan venue.”
On the morning after their nuptials, the new groom took to social media to share the good news with his fans. He posted a photo of the happy couple on Instagram, along with the caption. “Married my best friend last night. I love you @anniecog. What a great night with family and friends!”
As they jetted off to their honeymoon in Tahiti, Dixon posted a sweet selfie of the blissful newlyweds. “Honeymoon bound with the lovely @annicog. This is Mr. and Mrs. Dixon signing off.”
