Anna Kendrick says she prefers to sit with the misfits at weddings.

The actress, who’s starring in a new flick called Table 19, portrays the former best friend of the bride. After a falling out, the bride assigns her to the “reject” table at the reception. In a new teaser for the movie, Kendrick gives an impressive rundown of each table and the people placed at their respective seats.

“Most wedding movies focus on the bride and groom,” Kendrick said on the Today show this week. “[But] who are those people way in the back who don’t know anybody?”

In real life, Kendrick says she’s never noticed this specific table—likely because she’s only been in one wedding. “I’ve only been a bridesmaid once,” she said. “I feel like I’ve made an effort to not have super close female friends. Every female friend is like, ‘I’m on this email chain and it’s about the manicures and we’re gonna get the same manicure.’”

The Pitch Perfect star added, “I want to be at table 19. You can get drunk at table 19. I’d rather be the one who hangs out at the back table.”
