Guess who’s the boss in the Kutcher-Kunis household? The Ranch actor Ashton Kutcher stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, May 1, and revealed how his wife, Mila Kunis, sourced and selected the name of their baby son, Dimitri.
“We’re on the way to a date night and Mila turns to me and she goes, ‘So, I think Donald Trump is going to become the president and I think our baby’s name is Dimitri,’” Kutcher, 39, recalled. At the time, the actor scoffed at his wife’s prediction. “I was like, ‘Donald Trump’s not [going to be the president]’ …And we ended up not talking about it.”
Several weeks passed, but “Dimitri” somehow stuck with Kutcher. After returning from work one day, the actor told his wife, “I think Dimitri’s the name of the baby.”
Of course, Kunis accurately predicted the outcome of the 2016 Presidential Election. “And everything Mila said is right!” Kutcher exclaimed. “But she’s my wife, it is what it is. She’s just always right.”
The entrepreneur-turned-actor also had some sweet comments to share about his kids with Kunis, including Wyatt, who “loves” her baby brother so much. He also opened up about the recent experience of receiving an award for character in his home state of Iowa.
As previously reported, Kutcher shared in his acceptance speech how he learned the essence of character from his wife and his brother, Michael.
“As long as you have love and kindness and optimism and a pursuit of something greater in your heart, you’re the lucky one,” he said last month. “So this award is for you. It is for my family. It’s for all four of my parents. It’s for my wife, who kicks my ass on character every day.”
