Some of the sweetest love stories began on screen. At least, when it comes to The Bachelor. While the franchise, including The Bachelorette, has endured its fair share of drama and breakups over the years, many couples have ended up engaged, and eventually, married. The Knot takes a walk down memory lane and checks in on the duos who are still blissfully together.
Happily Married Pairs
Sean Lowe and Catherine (Giudici) Lowe
This couple met and fell in love during The Bachelor’s 17th season in 2013. Sean proposed in Thailand on the season finale, and after a year-long engagement the lovebirds married in a televised ceremony in January 2014. They welcomed their son Samuel in July 2016, and appear to be enjoying family life.
Earlier this month, Lowe posted a sweet message on Instagram after finding a love note from his wife. “Honey, I hope you know how much I adore you,” the note read. “Thank you for being the leader of our sweet little family. I love you and me.”
Lowe’s response was equally adorable. “Found this on my desk today. Five years later and she’s still leaving little notes for me,” he wrote. “It’s one of dozens she’s left me over the years and I just felt like sharing this one so you guys can get a glimpse of how incredible my wife is. Also, I welcome your congratulatory comments for locking down such a smart, loving, caring, hottie with a smokin’ body. Yay me!”
Trista (Rhen) Sutter and Ryan Sutter
It has been well over a decade since this pair fell for each other on the premiere season of The Bachelorette in 2003. After getting engaged on the finale, the two agreed to an opulent televised wedding in December that same year. The couple share two children, Maxwell, 10, and Blakesley, 8.
After Trista suffered a life-threatening health scare earlier this year, Ryan professed his love for his brave wife via social media. The firefighter, who came to Trista’s aid, thanked loved ones for their kindness and concern. Along with the heartfelt message, he shared an image of his love. “I post this simple picture. It’s my wife – at her best- capturing life as she always has, though now through a more meaningful lens,” he wrote.
Desiree (Hartsock) Siegfried and Chris Siegried
On August 5, 2013, this madly in love couple got engaged in Antigua on The Bachelorette‘s ninth season. They married in Southern California in January 2015, and their son Asher was born in October 2016. “Words can’t even express the amount of love we feel for our baby boy Asher,” the new parents told Us Weekly after the birth. “Chris and I are beyond blessed with this beautiful gift of life that we are excited to have as a part of our family.”
More than four years after their romance began, the pair are still smitten. Last week, Desiree shared a snap of the men in her life, along with a message to her husband. “Hott hubby award goes to this smoke show of a man,” she gushed. “Fatherhood looks good on you.”
Jason Mesnick and Molly (Malaney) Mesnick
The stakes were high for Jason, who had a son from a previous marriage when he signed on as the season 13 lead back in 2009. After initially choosing Melissa Rycroft, Jason had a change of heart and asked Molly for a second chance. The couple married in 2010 and made the best of it when a torrential downpour threatened to derail the nuptials. The ceremony was televised the next month. Along with Jason’s son, Ty, the couple share 4-year-old daughter Riley.
The former Bachelor regularly posts snaps of his family on social media. “I can’t believe how time flies,” he captioned a throwback image of he and his son from his Bachelor days.

Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum
After having her heart broken by Bachelor Brad Womack, Ashley took the lead as the season 7 Bachelorette and ultimately chose J.P. on decision day in 2011. The couple married in December 2012, and they share two children, Ford, 2, and Essex, who will turn one in November.
A family of four seems just right to the proud mom. “I feel this sense of completeness,” she told People after her daughter’s birth.
Engaged and So In Love
Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo
As the latest couple in Bachelor Nation to get engaged, the season 13 lead and her future husband are still reveling in being an openly-engaged couple. The pair recently wrapped a week-long engagement tour, and since their on–screen engagement, both parties have been filling their Instagram accounts with couples shots and time spent with friends and family.
Rachel could hardly contain her excitement after celebrating with loved ones in her homestate of Dallas. “I had the time of my life with the love of my life at our engagement party!” she wrote in one post. “Thank you so much to our family and friends that surrounded us with love! This was the breath of fresh air we needed!”

JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers
On August 1, 2016, JoJo offered Jordan her final rose as the season 12 lead before he proposed in Thailand. Now, more than a year after their engagement, the two have yet to wed, but according to Jordan, their commitment is stronger than ever.
“We’re enjoying this time of being engaged, continuing to date and court each other, and getting to know each other even more,” Jordan told The Hollywood Reporter last month. “And then when the time is right, we’re absolutely going to sit down and start planning [the wedding]. But we’re definitely taking our time. We want everything to be right and make sure we’re in the right place. We still don’t know if it’s going to be Dallas forever, but it’s a great place and there’s a lot of moving parts as we figure things out together.”
JoJo and Jordan celebrated their one-year engagement anniversary earlier this month.

Shawn Booth and Kaitlyn Bristowe
Kaitlin fell in love with Shawn as the season 11 Bachelorette. He proposed on the July 2015 finale, and the duo have been together ever since. While no wedding plans are in the works as of yet, the engaged pair have put the necessary measures in place to ensure they’ll one day have a family. “I’m taking control of my future!” Bristowe shared on Twitter earlier this year. “As a woman there’s always pressure to have babies, and this puts my mind at ease for when [I’m] ready.”
As a voice of experience, Kaitlyn offered her support to Rachel Lindsay before the season 13 finale aired. “Today will be one of the best days of your life. When you can finally be out in the real world hand in hand,” she wrote. “I honestly don’t think you need advice because you seem to be on cloud 9 and you’re smart af, but here’s mine for what it’s worth. Do not listen to outside voices. People will try and bring you down, I’m not sure why… But they do. As long as you surround yourselves with people who love you, and remind each other that they come first, you will be ok.”
