Bachelorette Season 12: JoJo Fletcher's Eight Remaining Suitors

No bueno in Buenos. Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher narrowed the number of suitors down to eight this past Monday, June 20. Here, The Knot rounds up the elite eight (check our bracket here) and reveals what to expect from the upcoming episode, according to a new release from ABC.

After JoJo sent six guys packing on Monday’s episode, ABC announced that the remaining group will travel to Argentina’s capitol of Buneos Aires — and tensions will flare. For the first time ever in Bachelorette history, there will be another two-on-one date following JoJo’s wild date in the woods with Chad Johnson and Alex Woytkiw. As recalled, that date ended with Season 12 villain Chad’s memorable exit and brief return to the house.

This time, however, the face-off will take place between two good guys: Chase McNary and Derek Peth. One man will tango his way to the chopping block, while the other will appear confident and appealing to JoJo.

Chase first made his mark in the second episode when he spontaneously surprised JoJo with a fake snow date. The two also enjoyed a steamy, couples yoga session during a one-on-one date.

Derek, meanwhile, memorably got the group date rose — which JoJo hoped would provide “some reassurance — during Monday night’s episode of The Bachelorette. He later confronted a select group of his fellow suitors (namely Alex and Jordan Rodgers) for being cliquy and rude.

The person to defend Derek amid the drama was none other than the sweetest suitor of the bunch: Wells. The Nashville-based radio DJ, who was the last one to receive a rose on Monday, will score a one-on-one date with JoJo on the next episode. Then, there’s apparently a wild group date with the five remaining guys that will cause major friction in the La Boca neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
