The Bachelorette’s Daniel Confronts Chad, Tells Him to ‘Take It Down a Notch’

The brain and the brawn! They may be all competing for Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher‘s heart, but one suitor is determined to help this season’s villain, Chad, see the error in his “intimidating” ways.

In a new preview ahead of ABC’s two-part special of The Bachelorette — which begins airing Monday, June 6 — Daniel confronts Chad while the fitness buff snacks on… a sweet potato. In the comical clip, Daniel explains that some of Fletcher’s suitors are worried about Chad and have even described him as a “loose cannon.”

“You punched a door yesterday,” Daniel says with an awkward laugh. “To some people, it’s a big deal!”

Chad, however, has a hard time understanding Daniel, who then uses historical references to enlighten his fellow competitor.

“Let’s pretend you’re Hitler,” Daniel says, which immediately offends Chad. “Let’s pretend you’re Donald Trump or something … Could you not be so much like Hitler and be more like Mussolini … Like, take it down a notch.”

Meanwhile, Chad says nothing and simply snacks on his whole sweet potato. (Man, the guy likes snacking!) Chad, however, appears to be slightly more receptive to Daniel, with whom he’s formed an unlikely bromance.

Will Chad “take it down a notch,” as Daniel recommends — or are things heating up in a not-so-good way? Find out and tune in to The Bachelorette on Monday and Tuesday, June 6 to 7, on ABC at 8 p.m. ET!
