From Bachelorette to bride-to-be! JoJo Fletcher has spent the past several weeks courting a menagerie of men. After having multiple suitors profess their love to her and breaking several hearts, the season 12 lead has handed out her final rose. The Knot is recapping every unforgettable moment from the August 1 Bachelorette finale.

Jordan Meets JoJo’s Parents

JoJo’s family arrives in Thailand to meet her final two men. She tells them they’ll first be meeting Jordan – who is the type of guy she’d typically go for.

Although Jordan brings hats for JoJo’s family members as a fun way to break the ice, her mother is skeptical – dubbing Jordan a “playboy” and wondering if JoJo can trust him.

JoJo’s mom explains that her daughter has trust issues, but Jordan attempts to ease her mind. He tells her that JoJo is his “best friend” and promises not to break her heart.

When JoJo’s mom tries to give her daughter advice regarding Jordan, JoJo is unwilling to consider her stance. Her mother feels that Jordan and JoJo may be too much alike, but JoJo is clearly in love and seeing Jordan through rose-tinted glasses.

Jordan meets with JoJo’s dad, who also seems unsure of his daughter’s suitor. The conversation does not go as well as Jordan expected… He doesn’t ask for JoJo’s father’s permission to marry his daughter. JoJo, however, thinks Jordan’s time with her parents was “perfect.” She is curious as to how the conversation went between her father and Jordan. She’s confident he asked for her father’s blessing during their visit.

Popping the Question… to JoJo’s Parents

When Robby meets JoJo’s family, his love for her is obvious. Her mom loves his “gentle demeanor,” and her brothers think he’s a “great guy” and don’t see any red flags.

Robby asks JoJo’s parents to talk with him privately so he can ask them an important question. After sitting down, he wastes no time. “I’m here for Joelle, and I’m not going anywhere and she knows that,” Robby begins. “She means the world to me, and I can sit here and honestly tell you both that she will be my number one priority in all of life and in everything I do.”

“Dr. Fletcher,” he continues, “in asking for your blessing to marry Joelle today, I don’t just want her hand in marriage; I want all that is Joelle Hannah Fletcher, because you guys have raised such a special girl. If I’m fortune enough to receive that blessing, I can promise you both to protect her, to care for her, and love her for my entire life.” He goes onto tell JoJo’s parents that he would be honored to be a part of their family.

JoJo’s father is honored that Robby asked for his blessing. When JoJo talks with her dad alone, he’s emotional as he tells JoJo he wants the best for her.

Parents’ Pick

JoJo’s parents share with her that they believe Robby would be better suited to be her husband. Her brothers agree, leaving JoJo confused.

To add to her uncertainty, JoJo learns that Jordan didn’t ask for her father’s permission to marry her. The Bachelorette becomes irritated and emotional during the conversation with her family. She worries that a failed relationship with the man she picks may lead to regrets.

Robby’s Final Attempt to Win JoJo Over

JoJo meets Robby for their last date before The Bachelorette picks her husband-to-be. They enjoy a beach day, discuss future plans, and JoJo shares that she’s overwhelmed by how much she trusts Robby.

During a cozy evening together, Robby professes his love (once again) to JoJo. She tells him he has a “heart of gold” and that she feels his love. She also tells Robby that she has no doubts when it comes to him.

Robby gives JoJo photos of their journey together, reminding her how far they’ve come. He helps JoJo to see what she’s worthy of and what she deserves. “I see a lifetime with him,” she says in the confessional.

Jordan Makes a Lasting Impression on JoJo

During a boat ride with Jordan, JoJo is feeling confused as to why Jordan didn’t ask her father for his permission to marry her. She wants to know what’s going on in Jordan’s head and asks him to open up.

Jordan shares that he didn’t ask JoJo’s father for his permission to marry JoJo because he wants to know he’s the one JoJo plans to pick. JoJo explains how disappointed she is, but Jordan stands his ground.

That evening, JoJo and Jordan spend time in his hotel room. JoJo rehashes the fact that she is disappointed that Jordan didn’t ask for her father’s blessing to take her hand in marriage.

Jordan tells her that he loves her enough that he doesn’t want to lose her. He’s willing to take a leap of faith, but JoJo is unconvinced that he’s ready to be engaged. He assures JoJo he loves her and that he wants to spend of the rest of his life with her.

Jordan Makes a Very Important Call

Jordan calls JoJo’s parents to tell them how much he loves JoJo. He asks for their permission to get down on one knee and ask JoJo to marry him. JoJo’s parents thank Jordan for calling and give him their blessing to marry their daughter.

Ring-Buying Jitters

Jordan meets jeweler Neil Lane to choose an engagement ring for JoJo. He finds the ring selection process to be “overwhelming,” and he’s feeling pressure to make the right decision.

“An engagement ring is forever,” Jordan says in the confessional. “It’s gonna represent that promise that it’s gonna be her and me for the rest of our life.”

Robby is looking for the perfect ring for The Bachelorette. “It’s gotta be the perfect ring for the perfect girl,” he says.

JoJo’s Moment of Clarity

JoJo wakes up on the morning of her decision day with a sense of clarity. She receives a letter from Jordan telling her how much he loves her and that he called her parents to ask for their blessing to marry her.

Still in tears, JoJo also reads a letter from Robby. She’s confused once again, trying to decide who she should choose. Both men are confident that The Bachelorette will pick them.

JoJo Makes her Choice

JoJo reflects on her Bachelorette experience as she stands on the beach and waits for her first suitor to arrive. Robby steps out from the limo, poised and positive that he’s the one for JoJo. He’s ready to hear “I love you” from her.

As Robby greets JoJo, he tells her how “whole-heartedly” he loves her. JoJo stops him from getting down on one knee, telling him she doesn’t want to take that moment from him.

JoJo explains to Robby that she woke up this morning wanting her choice to be him. She tells him she fell in love with him, but “for some reason, [her] heart is somewhere else.” She assures Robby that nothing is missing in their relationship. She knows how much he loves her. “As long as you’re happy,” he tells her. “Hopefully in the end, you are.”

Robby is heartbroken as JoJo tells him she hopes she’s not making a “huge mistake.” He wishes her luck before his limo pulls away.

The Proposal

When Jordan arrives, JoJo can’t wait to tell him how much she loves him. They embrace, and Jordan admits to JoJo that he’s nervous. He tells her how much he loves her and he knows she’s his soulmate.

JoJo tells Jordan she loves him before he has a chance to propose. He gets down on one knee and asks her to be his wife.

“I love you. I love you so much,” Jordan tells JoJo.

JoJo says yes. Finally, she offers Jordan her final rose.
