Another final rose was handed out this weekend. Bachelorette contestant JJ Lane, who appeared on JoJo Fletcher’s season of ABC’s reality series, married Kayla Hughes in Denver, Colorado, on Saturday, February 29.
“We are thrilled to be husband and wife and officially start this next, and best, chapter in life together,” the couple tells The Knot in their joint statement. “We look forward to starting our own family and continuing to love and watch Gemma grow and blossom.”

The couple first connected after Lane, who works in finance, sent Hughes a message via LinkedIn. Lane—a dad to daughter Gemma—proposed to Hughes just as the sun was setting during a family vacation in Kauai, Hawaii.

Hughes is a former NFL cheerleader for the Kansas City Chiefs. Staying true to the team’s tradition, her fellow dancers performed with the bride after the couple’s first dance. “This was a good way to kick off the dance party!”
