Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher Was a Bridesmaid and Her Dress Was Under $100: Get the Details

It was an effortless transition from Bachelorette to bridesmaid for JoJo Fletcher. The season 12 lead of ABC’s beloved reality franchise recently made her way to Necker Island, where she served as a bridesmaid in a friend’s wedding in early February.

For the nuptials, the Dallas native walked down the aisle in a soft blush-color gown by Watters, which can be rented for a fraction of the retail price. The Knot caught up with Vow To Be Chic founder Kelsey Doorey to discuss the bridal party’s rental process from start to finish.

“The bride went for a chic mix-and-match look, which is very trendy right now,” Doorey says. “The bridesmaids all wore gowns from the Watters collection in a soft nude/blush color that fit the beach setting perfectly.”

Fletcher’s fiance, Jordan Rodgers, posted a sweet snapshot from the ocean-front nuptials. “Before the sweat, champagne, and embarrassing dance moves turned formal dining tables into full on dance floors,” he wrote alongside a photo of himself with his future wife. “#sorrynotsorry.” For the formal occasion, the SEC Network analyst wore a navy tux custom-designed by Austen Dor, while Fletcher glowed in her cascading, nude color dress.

“JoJo went for an A-Line gown with crossed halter top detail,” Doorey explains to The Knot. “The neckline accentuates her toned shoulders and the fitted bodice falls perfectly at her waist, creating an elegant yet sexy look.” The Watters collection is so popular at Vow To Be Chic that the company carries 10 different styles from the brand. “[It’s] especially great for a bridal party of varying body types, because of the flowing, comfortable nature of the fabric,” Doorey explains.

Mismatched dresses, if done well, can add a fresh element to a wedding day palette. “Our bridal stylists recommend that a bridal party stick with one unifying element,” Doorey notes. “Whether it’s a designer, color family, or fabric. Then, mix and match the rest.”

For bridesmaids looking to emulate Fletcher’s look? The dress is offered for both rent and purchase. “We love this gown so much,” Doorey concludes. “We’re excited to see what JoJo has her bridesmaids wear when she walks down the aisle as a bride!

Exactly a year ago, the couple met on the driveway of the famed Bachelor mansion. Rodgers famously received Fletcher’s first impression rose–and ultimately went on to win the Bachelorette’s heart.

In a call last August, Fletcher told The Knot and other reporters that she already has a wedding day aesthetic in mind. “I have the biggest family and I know my mom has the largest list of people to invite already,” she joked at the time. “I’ve actually started sending him — this is embarrassing — Pinterest photos in types of weddings. I like an outdoor, rustic wedding.”
