By now, season 13 Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay is likely a few steps closer to finding a potential fiance, and America will witness her journey beginning May 22. In preparation for the big premiere, ABC released its very first promo image of the franchise lead this week—and she’s fittingly wearing a ruby red dress custom made by bridal designer Randi Rahm.
The piece—a custom “red rose”-inspired gown comprised of red chiffon and tulle—is also available in white and will be featured in Rahm’s upcoming bridal collection, according to a release.
The Knot previously spoke to Rahm about her creative process. “I really believe in following my own beat where my designs are concerned, and my own beat is all women,” she told us. “I’m always conscious about who is wearing my clothes and each design depends on the woman, regardless of trends. I do think trends like faux fur, velvet and bold colors should be relegated to accents and accessories on an outfit.”
This may, in turn, explain why Rahm has worked in tandem with the beloved franchise on numerous occasions. Former Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher and season 21 Bachelor finalist Raven Gates have both been featured in pieces by the designer. Bachelorette stylist Cary Fetman also told People that Lindsay will be wearing another one of Rahm’s designs during a rose ceremony.
In February, Lindsay was cast as ABC’s first-ever black Bachelorette in the franchise’s 15-year history. The Dallas-based attorney recently brought a few of her suitors to a group date on The Ellen Show, where she told DeGeneres that she’s “hopeful” about finding a fiance among her “amazing group of men.”
Season 13 of The Bachelorette premieres on May 22, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
