Rachel Lindsay is now one week into filming season 13 of The Bachelorette, which means she’s one step closer to (hopefully) finding the love of her life. Interestingly enough, her journey continued on Thursday, March 23, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, on an unconventional group date.

“We won’t see it for a long time,” DeGeneres noted in their latest sit-down chat. “So how many did you start with? 30?”

“Around that number,” Lindsay replied.

DeGeneres then asked Lindsay how she remembers everyone’s names? “I’ll be honest, I’m not good with names at all… I say their names three times in my head over and over again,” Lindsay said with a smile. “I haven’t said a wrong name.”

She then noted to the show host that she’s shared one memorable smooch with a certain suitor, although she refused to disclose further details. “He initiated. It was completely unexpected,” the Dallas-based attorney recalled. “I know it sounds cliche but it totally swept me off my feet. It was good.”

Lindsay concluded the chat by saying though she’s a skeptic, she’s “hopeful” about finding love this season because she has “an amazing group of men.”

As recalled, ABC producers broke from tradition and opted to announce Lindsay as the next Bachelorette early last month. While she was still appearing on The Bachelor at the time, Chris Harrison later explained that they made the choice so that they could find the best batch of suitors for the Bachelorette.

She then brought six of her suitors to the program to test their moves. The audience got an adorable introduction to each, including names and hometowns. They include: Fred Johnson (Dallas, Texas), Alex (Brazil), John (Florida), Brian (Miami, Florida), Willie G (New York City), and Peter (Wisconsin).

The kiss portion was also spoiled by two of the men. “She’s a great kisser,” Brian said as Willie G added, “I second that.”

DeGeneres then explained to the suitors that they had to dance shirtless with the rambunctious audience members—and collect money to move ahead.

Bachelor fans were introduced to the first four set of suitors during the After the Final Rose special of Nick Viall’s season last week. It was at the live event that Lindsay met four of the men, and was also informed that she would be traveling to the Bachelor Mansion that night.
