Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay was more determined than ever to move forward with multiple relationships on the Monday, June 19 episode, despite the building animosity between her remaining suitors. Here, The Knot highlights the top five dramatic moments.
1. Lee Doesn’t Like to Share
During cocktail hour, Lee causes more commotion when he insists on two rounds of one-on-one time with Rachel, who is unable to concentrate when she overhears several men arguing.
“If I’m 100% honest, I was disappointed with the guys tonight,” Rachel says during an emotional confessional interview.
2. The Rose Ceremony Goes On
The vibe is glum as host Chris Harrison announces the rose ceremony. Will, Dean, Jonathan, Peter and Adam are first to be offered roses. Bryan is next, followed by Matt, Josiah, Jack and Iggy.
To Kenny‘s pleasant surprise, he receives a rose, but the gents are all visibly disappointed when Lee receives the final rose of the evening. Diggy, Bryce, and Brady are sent home.
3. Dean Dreads the Blimp
Rachel and her suitors arrive in Hilton Head, South Carolina, for the next leg of the journey. The first date card reveals that Dean will be taking to the sky with Rachel. Unfortunately, he’s deathly afraid of heights, so he’s rather nervous to learn they’ll be riding in the Goodyear Blimp. After Rachel slips into the driver’s seat, she’s impressed when Dean agrees to take a turn.
Later, Dean opens up about his mother’s death and his difficult adolescence. Rachel is touched by his sincerity. Before the night ends, Rachel and Dean are front and center at a Russell Dickerson concert.
4. Commitment Issues
The next date card arrives and it implies that Rachel will be looking for commitment potential on the week’s group date. Alex, Anthony, Peter, Bryan, Jonathan, Adam, Matt, Kenny, Lee, Iggy, Eric, Will and Josiah join Rachel on a yacht.
After a rap competition, Rachel takes the men to a spelling competition. Kenny misspells “champagne” and Iggy misses “boudoir.” One by one the men are eliminated until Will and Josiah remain. In the end, Josiah wins the trophy, much to his competitors’ annoyance.
5. Lee Stirs the Pot
During his one-on-one time with Rachel, Iggy calls out Josiah for causing trouble. Although several suitors are on Iggy’s side, they’re annoyed that he spends his time with Rachel complaining.
Later, Lee tells Rachel that Kenny is a “ticking time bomb,” and Rachel confronts Kenny about his temper. Behind the scenes, Lee admits that he wants to see Kenny’s world crumble.
