Disney fans can hardly wait until Beauty and the Beast hits theaters on March 17, and the anticipation just reached an all-time high. John Legend and Ariana Grande’s music video featuring the title track is here, and it’s nothing short of magical!
In the video, viewers are treated to a stunning shot of the Beast’s castle, where Grande begins singing on a balcony. Clad in a dark red, tulle ball gown, she peers into her enchanted mirror before entering a massive room and being surrounded by dancing flower petals.
The camera then pans to Legend, who belts out the duet while sitting at a grand piano. Soon, Belle (Emma Watson) and the Beast (Dan Stevens) enter the ballroom in full costume glory, and share a beautifully choreographed dance while the beloved Mrs. Potts and Chip look on.
The iconic song was first made famous by Peabo Bryson and Celine Dion in 1991. While Legend and Grande’s contemporary version is completely recognizable, the duo add their own flare and soul.
“Stepping into the shoes of an Oscar and Grammy Award-winning classic is not small potatoes,” producer Ron Fair said in a statement last month. “But with today’s two greatest singers–John Legend and Ariana Grande–we are bringing the song back with a new school/old school fresh treatment that shows the soulfulness and power of what a great melody and lyric can inspire.”
The soundtrack, which was released on March 10, also features Dion singing “How Does a Moment Last Forever,” and Josh Groban performing “Evermore.”
