Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell‘s romance is coming full circle! After falling in love on-screen, the Bachelor couple is considering a televised wedding sometime next year.
“I think it’s a cool opportunity,” Higgins shared in a new interview with ET. “We’ve invited everybody into our life up to this point; why not let them continue?”
The future groom admitted that a TV wedding would be a great opportunity for the famous duo. “It would almost be stupid not to,” he mused. “You’re going to have cameras at your wedding anyway. There’s going to be people following you around no matter what, so why not add a whole production crew? I think Lauren and I would love to see that happen, and I think it would be really fun. It would be a nice culmination to everything.”
Higgins and his fiancee are in no rush to walk down the aisle. “November will be a year since we got engaged, so it’s not this super quick time frame,” he said in the interview.
Bushnell revealed that viewers may see bits and pieces of wedding planning on the couple’s new docuseries, Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?, admitting, “We’re really trying to figure out what’s best for us, because our lives have been really going 100 miles per hour.”
When asked why there’s a question mark in their new show’s title, the bride-to-be had an understandable explanation. “We don’t know what our happily ever after looks like,” she explained.
“Everyone saw our fairy tale, but we also have had a roller coaster of a ride, like in any relationship,” Higgins acknowledged. “We want to show the viewers what real relationships look like. We aren’t perfect. We have our issues and joys and things we have overcome, and the question mark is the ups and downs of a relationship.”
Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After? premieres October 11 at 8 p.m. ET on Freeform.
