Wedding plans are officially underway for Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell. Ahead of the Tuesday, November 1, episode of Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?, The Knot has a scrumptious preview of the future spouses taste-testing wedding cakes.
Ben and Lauren have been overwhelmed by the many choices they must make to pull-off their televised wedding, so what better way to kick-off the planning celebration than with cake? The adorable duo visited Sweet E’s Bake Shop in Los Angeles to make the all-important decision of what to sweet confection to serve at their nuptials. The popular California bakery was the perfect place to try the best of the best in wedding cakes.
When Chris Harrison pitched the idea for Ben and Lauren to have a TV wedding, he assured the bride-to-be that she would have endless resources to make the ceremony everything she wants “on steroids.” Judging by the couple’s upscale cake-tasting experience, the longtime Bachelor host is holding true to his word!
Viewers will have to wait and see what sweet treats Ben and Lauren will have at their wedding, but on the upcoming Happily Ever After? Episode, entitled “House Divided,” the lovebirds have equally important issues on their minds. When the couple tires of living in close quarters, they begin the house-hunting process. They soon learn that compromises will have to be made, and the endeavor prompts both parties to reconsider their career paths.
When the future bride and groom stopped by The Knot Gala in New York City earlier this month, they were open in sharing about their professions. Lauren, a former flight attendant, revealed that she’s excited to explore new paths. “I’ve always loved design. I’ve always loved fashion and style,” she told The Knot. “Being a flight attendant kept me away from that, so [The Bachelor has] allowed me to explore other passions that I didn’t know were possible… that I never thought would be an option.”
Ben is also open-minded when it comes to changing careers. “Obviously The Bachelor has opened up a lot of opportunities,” he explained at The Knot Gala. “I still work at Talisys. I still have a job there, but obviously, this new show has taken up a lot of our time. Filming me sitting at an office isn’t exactly the most entertaining thing. I’m hoping to go back to that job for stability, but I’m also looking at new opportunities. We’re keeping our eyes and ears open because you never know what’s going to pop up. We didn’t expect to do a season on our own. I didn’t expect to be ‘The Bachelor.’”
Watch the duo’s love story continue on Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?, airing Tuesday, November 1, at 8 p.m. ET on Freeform.
