For an entire industry of make-pretend, it’s difficult to pick the best of the bunch when it comes to Halloween costumes, but try we shall! Here, The Knot has rounded up the best celebrity couple costumes in recent holiday memory, from Beyonce and Jay Z’s picture-perfect Barbie and Ken to Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka’s original Groucho Marx and Charlie Chaplin.

1. Nick and Vanessa Lachey

Nick and Vanessa Lachey made Halloween a family thematic affair in 2016 when they dressed up as characters from Disney’s hit Frozen, with their daughter Brooklyn gussied up as Elsa and their son Camden decked out in a snowman onesie as Olaf. This year, the multi-hyphenate pair will have another little one to add to the mix: 10-month-old son Phoenix.

2. Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka

Both Neil Patrick Harris and husband David Burtka have major fun streaks that they’ve undoubtedly passed down to their twins, Gideon and Harper. For Halloween last year, the pair wore coordinating outfits as iconic comedians and silent film stars Groucho Marx and Charlie Chaplin, while their little ones kept things within the same old Hollywood realm as Marilyn Monroe and James Dean.

3. Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake

When promoting a new film, these two certainly know how to make it a family affair. Justin Timberlake enlisted the help of his wife, Jessica Biel, and son, Silas, to create the best troll family ever in anticipation of his then-upcoming animated film, Trolls. The pair both shared fun photos of the two of them acting silly in costumes that included oversized headpieces and feet.

4. Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber

Raising hell! Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber showed just how good 18 years of marriage can look when they donned matching Hell’s Angels outfits for Halloween 2016, including dark makeup and short leather shorts for the supermodel and a leather vest and shades for Gerber.

5. Beyonce and Jay Z

Nailed it! Beyonce and Jay Z were the picture of perfection as Barbie and Ken for Halloween last year, with their daughter Blue decked out in ‘80s fashion as their plastic offspring. The pair also managed to sneak in a second set of matching costumes, in throwback ‘80s hip hop gear complete with neon colors and angular patterns.

6. Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan opted to keep their oft-explicit love for one another PG for Halloween, dressed up as Belle and the Beast from Beauty and the Beast, with their young daughter Everly clad in a tiny shimmery yellow gown to match her mom. “Two belles and a beast,” Dewan captioned an adorable photo of the family.

7. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend

Chrissy Teigen may love dressing up daughter Luna in a million different adorable outfits, but for her birthday in 2013–before she and John Legend had welcomed their little one–the couple reliably knocked the costume game out of the park. That year, the pair dressed up as Mario and Princess Peach, complete with a detachable belly for Legend and a big blonde wig for Teigen.

8. Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson hammed it up for Halloween last year dressed to the nines as Danny Zuko and “Sandra Double Dee,” a play-on the characters from Grease. The real question: is that Simpson’s real blonde hair teased into character?

9. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

A lady and her man! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West dressed up as Catwoman and Batman, respectively, for Halloween back in 2012, with the likes of Kourtney Kardashian, Jonathan Cheban and Scott Disick filling out the remainder of their superhero squad.

10. Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady

Behind every Cowardly Lion is his Dorothy. Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady got into a Wizard of Oz kind of mood in 2013 with an adorable, if literal, take on the children’s classic. The pair shared a kiss for a photo the supermodel shared to Instagram. Also pictured: Toto.
