Fit for royalty. As part of her year-in-review, Beyonce managed to slip in a never-before-seen photo from her vow renewal to Jay Z, marking 10 years of marriage for the couple.
For the occasion, Beyonce chose a white gown by bridal designer Galia Lahav along with an elaborate veil. According to TMZ, the Grammy winner’s stylist stopped by Lahav’s flagship store to buy the gown a few months before the ceremony took place. Lahav was supposedly informed that Beyonce was considering the piece for her vow renewal ceremony.
The Israeli designer’s team confirmed the piece as its Thelma dress, which is described by the brand as a “Victorian style gown with sheer silk sleeves and an elaborate vintage ornament.”
The piece is made-to-order at Galia Lahav’s flagship locations in NYC, L.A., Hamburg, Germany, and Tel Aviv.
The dress wasn’t the only aspect revealed from Beyonce’s video montage. The singer also shared how her twins Sir and Rumi were nearby while their parents renewed their wedding vows in June.
Beyonce first told fans about how she marked 10 years of marriage in a birthday post in September. “At 36, I became a new mother of three,” she wrote at the time. “I breastfed my twins. I renewed my vows with my husband of 10 years.”
The couple–specifically Jay Z–has been candid about their relationship struggles especially after footage from a 2014 Met Ball after-party showed Solange Knowles attacking her brother-in-law in an elevator.
“We did the hard work of going to therapy,” the rapper told David Letterman in 2018. “We love each other. We put in the work.”
