Jess Graf and Cody Nickson would like to thank Big Brother. The two contestants, who met on the program and fell in love while competing on the reality show, got married on Sunday, October 14, at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, California.
The wedding itself was described as an intimate, black-tie wedding by the couple who specifically chose the Chateau Le Dome on the celeb-beloved property.
Graf, who’s currently pregnant, wore a silk piece designed by Mark Zunino that included light sleeves, a sweetheart neckline and an elaborate train. She carried a bouquet of lush black Calla lilies neatly trimmed and arranged to show off her bump.
“Fall in L.A. is just so gorgeous out, so I wanted to be dancing under the stars all night long,” Graf told People, which got the first look at the couple’s photos. “I wanted for it to be dripping in flowers, and string lights and lots and lots of candles. I wanted it to look just very romantic. Like a daydream.”
Nickson, a former U.S. Marine, proposed to Graf with a pear-shape yellow diamond ring in February atop Runyon Canyon in L.A. At the time, the pair took The Knot’s Style Quiz and found that they had slightly different wedding style concepts.
“I asked Cody to take the quiz and he actually got ‘Bohemian with a bit of Simple and a touch of Elegant.’ Very funny!” Graf told us. “I got, ‘Romantic with a bit of Elegant and a touch of Natural.’”
However, they already had a strong conceptual idea in mind. “We want the wedding to be very white and have exposed wood with banquet style tables,” Graf added. “The ceremony and reception will look very elegant, but we’re looking for fun things to bring into the wedding to make it upbeat and fun. I have a few ideas up my sleeve… I basically want it to look very classy but we want everyone to party like it’s 1985!”
