Blake Lively spent the past week celebrating two of life’s most memorable moments. Just days after giving birth to her second child with husband, Ryan Reynolds, the 29-year old actress attended the wedding of a close friend.
“Most beautiful bride on the planet. And the best friend I could ask for,” the Gossip Girl alum captioned a photo of herself giving her bestie a kiss. “@jessiecarose617 thank you for being EVERYTHING. I love you.”
Lively followed up with a closeup shot of the bride’s intricate wedding gown, bejeweled nails, and unique engagement ring. “@jessicarose617’s KILLER details…” the new mom gushed.

While The Shallows star appeared to enjoy the wedding festivities, there’s no doubt she couldn’t wait to get home to her new bundle of joy.
So far, Lively and her 39-year old hubby are keeping mum about the name and sex of their baby. The couple’s firstborn daughter, James, will turn two this December.
The famous duo will certainly use humor to get through the sleepless nights with their newborn. Back in August, Reynolds showcased his comical side when he jokingly downplayed his pregnant wife’s birthday by giving a birthday shout-out to another famous celeb.
“Just want to wish Billy Ray Cyrus the most special, magical birthday ever,” Reynolds joked of the country singer’s 55th birthday. “I love you with all my heart. Also, Happy Birthday to my wife.”
All jokes aside, Reynolds is madly in love with his wife and family. “I’m not one for vomiting declarations of sentiment out across the airways, but when we had that baby, I fell more in love with my wife than I’d ever been in my entire life,” the Deadpool star told David Letterman back in February 2015. “I used to say to her, ‘I would take a bullet for you, I could never love anything as much as I love you.’ And then the second I looked in that baby’s eyes, I knew in that exact moment if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby… you can quote me.”
Lively is equally crazy about her hunky husband. “We’ve never gone a week without seeing each other. There’s no major decision that I make without him,” she told Marie Claire in a 2014 cover story. “The best part is when we turn off our phones and just talk and hang out. He’s my best, best friend. What do you do with your best friend? You do nothing.”
