She’s thirty and thriving. Blake Lively enjoyed a wonderful 30th birthday in Canada this weekend, and enjoyed gifts galore from family members and friends, including husband Ryan Reynolds.
The Gossip Girl actress took to Instagram to post photos from her birthday festivities, which included an intimate dinner with her inner circle. Jewelers to the stars, sisters Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira Sandberg, as well as Lively’s A Simple Favor co-star Anna Kendrick joined the birthday girl for the cozy meal in Toronto.

“My super sweet 16. …but like 14 years late,” the Shallows star wrote. She later followed up with a photo of all of the sweets and flowers that she had received from her loved ones. “Thank you to everyone who sent me treats and made my day SO SPECIAL!!! Love you all,” she wrote. “And to all my friends who didn’t, you’re dead to me.”
The mom of two tagged the gift-givers, including Reynolds who surprised his wife with a fragrant bouquet of pink roses, hydrangeas, calla lilies and more.

Reynolds, meanwhile, hilariously trolled his wife of five years with a red carpet photo of the pair—which he cropped and centered on himself. “Happy Birthday to my amazing wife,” the Deadpool star wrote. Lively recently told Glamour that her husband will oftentimes make jokes about their family on social media—and she finds it entertaining. “He’ll run them by me sometimes just to make me laugh,” she said. “But oh, I’m so in love with him when he writes that stuff. I mean, I’m in love with him most of the time, but especially with that.”
The two have been spending a lot of time in Canada as Lively films her new movie in Toronto and Reynolds shoots the second installment of Deadpool. In the book adaptation of A Simple Life, Lively portrays the best friend of Anna Kendrick’s mommy blogger character.
The couple, who met in 2010 on the set of Green Lantern, married two years later in South Carolina. “In other relationships, if something came up, I would call my girlfriends or my sister, and say, ‘Hey, this is what he did—what should I do?’” Lively said in the same interview. “Where with him, we were friends for two years before we were ever dating. And I treat him like my girlfriend. I’m like, ‘Hey, this happened. It upset me. This is how I feel. What do I do?’” And he does the same for me. He treats me like his best buddy.”
