We cannot get enough of these two! Following Ryan Reynolds’ Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, the actor’s wife, Blake Lively, took to Instagram on Thursday, December 15, to describe her sentiments about the special moment.
“Proud is a pitiful word to describe how I felt today,” Lively wrote, alongside a photo of her standing on Reynolds’ star with her husband and their daughter James. “@vancityreynolds The permanence of your impact is undeniable …Always has been, but now we have a fancy [star] to show for it.”
Reynolds also took to social media to relish in the honor. “This is one of those ‘pinch me’ moments. But not in the creepy way my Aunt used to do it,” he wrote on Instagram, jokingly adding on Twitter: “Amazing day… Weird how they write the name in ALL CAPS. Like I’m yelling at all the nice people walking by. For eternity.”

The couple–who first met on the set of Green Lantern and later married in 2012–introduced their two little ones to the world on Thursday. Reynolds carried their nearly 2-year-old daughter, James, while Lively trailed with the couple’s 2-month-old infant, whose name has yet to be revealed.

While the crowd was hyper-focused on the adorable girls, the man of the hour gave his wife a loving shout-out at the podium. “I want to thank my wife, Blake, who is sitting right there who is everything to me,” the Deadpool star said. “You are the best thing, the best thing that has ever happened to me — second only to this star.”

The praises didn’t stop there. “You make everything better,” Reynolds added of Lively. “You make everything in my life better. You’ve given me two of the most incredible children I’ve ever hoped to have.”
The couple recently celebrated Reynolds’ 40th birthday at the very spot where they fell in love. “Hey, Reynolds,” Lively wrote at the time. “I like you a whole lot.”
