She said oui! French bridal designer Rime Arodaky is engaged to wedding photographer Greg Finck, she announced Thursday, January 3.
The Parisian designer took to Instagram to share a photo of herself in a dreamy tropical destination with her new diamond ring on display. “Well,” she wrote, “I said yes!”
Prior to the announcement, Arodaky’s fiancé Finck posted a photo of their family—the couple shares a baby girl named Andrea—as well as his daughter Juliette posing for a family portrait on the beach in St. Maarten. “Spending the last moments of 2018 with my tribe and feeling grateful for such an amazing family,” he wrote as he paid tribute to Arodaky. “To the love of my life @rimearodaky, who is my North star, my pillar, my main inspiration and so much more.”
Arodaky echoed her fiancé’s sentiments in her end-of-year note, thanking Finck for his “unconditional love, and your rage to build us a beautiful life, and protect us, to my family, always here to help up struggle with our schizophrenic lives.”
Arodaky previously opened up to The Knot about her source of inspiration for her designs—Finck included.
“Travel definitely,” she noted in 2018. “My man and I love to travel and explore the world, new hotels, and adventures. He is a destination photographer so I always try to follow him on his crazy agenda. Then my girlfriends and French women in general inspire me. Their effortless attitude and style are timeless. I also take inspiration from my personal emotions and life. That has been the best source for me. And finally, music is my main inspiration because of the powerful message it can convey… it gives me a mood, a feeling and a story to tell!”
The future bride has increasingly become the go-to designer for cool girls with some celebs wearing her pieces in the past few years. They include Meghan Markle, who made her “A la folie” T-shirt massive amounts of attention due to the timing of her relationship with then-boyfriend Prince Harry.
“She wore this tee the week before announcing her relationship with Prince Harry so it was so special, and exciting for us,” Arodaky shared in the same interview. “A la folie means being ‘crazy in love’ in French, so it kind of felt like message.”
Ryan Lochte’s wife, Kayla Rae Reid, also wore a piece by Arodaky for their wedding.
