Right beside his heart. Baseball player Bryce Harper revealed this week that he personalized his wedding day attire in the sweetest way. The Washington Nationals player–who married fiancee Kayla Varner, last month at the San Diego California Temple–lined the inside of his tuxedo jacket with photos of his bride.
Harper, 24, previously hinted at the personalized style element. “Since everyone is asking about the inside of the suit, here it is!” Harper tweeted on Wednesday, January 11. “Thanks to @STITCHEDlife for making this happen! You’re the best!”
Photos taken by India Earl show Harper posing proudly with both jacket flaps open. Inside, black and white snapshots of the pair beautifully line the MLB player’s suit. A message that reads “Mr. & Mrs. Harper, December 16, 2016” commemorates the special occasion.
Videographer David Perry of David Perry Films–who captured the nuptials–shared the stunning first look video with The Knot on Thursday, January 12. The video features the song “Forever Starts Today” by Tim Halperin, and shows the groom’s emotional reaction upon seeing the bride.
Photographer India Earl also captured the beautiful memory with a sequence of images, chronicling the groom’s unfiltered and pure emotions frame by frame.
“Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favorite!” Harper expressed on Twitter. “I love you more than life itself.”
