This fan looks a little fishy. Carrie Underwood wished her husband of nearly seven years a happy birthday on Monday, June 5, and the country star — who has been spotted cheering him on at his Nashville Predators games in recent weeks — didn’t hold back with her enthusiasm.

“Happy birthday to this handsome hunk! I’ll never forget the day he told me he was asked to wear the ‘C,’” she captioned a photo of Fisher holding up a yellow Predators jersey. “I was so proud on that day and I’m even more proud now to see him play in the #StanleyCupFinals He’s definitely the only FISH in the ‘C’ for me! 💙💛🐟💛💙🐟💙💛.” (The “C” patch denotes the team captain.)

How the tables have turned! Last October, Underwood revealed in an interview on The Tyler Oakley Show that she and her hockey hunk actually first met at a fan meet-and-greet. And in an earlier Behind the Music special Underwood recounted how the pair was originally set up by her bassist, Mike Childers, back in 2008, and how she initially wasn’t into the idea of a blind date.

But, she explained, she quickly changed her tune when she saw Fisher in person. According to the American Idol alum herself, she instantly texted Childers, writing, “Hot, hot hot,” and the rest is history.

The pair got married in July 2010 and have one son, 2-year-old Isaiah Michael Fisher.
