They’re staying in it for the right reasons. Sean and Catherine Lowe, one of the few Bachelor couples to remain consciously coupled After the Final Rose, are marking their fourth wedding anniversary on Friday, January 26, with some insight about the reality of marriage.
“I’ve learned better patience when it comes to our marriage,” Catherine told E! News this week. “That rage is kind of a waste of time. I’ve been slower to anger when I remember how much Sean loves me and better at explaining how I feel. At least I hope!”
The season 17 Bachelor couple married four years ago at the Four Seasons Resort in Santa Barbara, California, in a televised wedding special. Since then, the stars have expanded their family of two by welcoming son, Samuel, and are currently awaiting the arrival of their second baby.
“We know how blessed we are every day and want to continue to enrich our lives with new experiences and people and hopefully in the process, help others,” Catherine said of celebrating her anniversary with her husband. “We’ll also probably do something romantic, but that’s up to Sean. But he knows, no red roses.”
Ultimately, the process has been rewarding for the reality couple. “I love having my best friend to wake up to, spend the day with and kiss goodnight. I can count on Sean to make me feel loved every day and also give me sound advice when I need it. He’s honestly the best thing that has happened to me,” she concluded.
