Red carpet royalty. Newlyweds Russell Wilson and Ciara made their first official red carpet appearance as husband and wife at the 2016 ESPYS on Wednesday, July 13.
Fresh off their honeymoon, the singer, 30, and football player, 27, adorably took to the annual, star-studded awards ceremony in matching ensembles.
Ciara stunned in a slinky, dusty-rose gown, which featured an encrusted, low-cut bodice. The singer proudly posed with her left hand on full display, showing off her double diamond wedding bands and ring.

Her husband, meanwhile, looked handsome in a matching tuxedo complete with a bowtie. After posing on the carpet, the pair greeted fellow stars, Stephan and Ayesha Curry, outside of the Microsoft Theater in L.A.

Wilson and his wife married exactly one week ago on Wednesday, July 6, at the historical Peckforton Castle in Liverpool, England. Shortly after they were pronounced husband and wife, the pair released their very wedding photo via social media, captioning it: “We are The Wilsons!”

Kelly Rowland and LaLa Anthony served as bridesmaids, while Jennifer Hudson and other notable guests witnessed the intimate ceremony abroad.
In an interview with Extra this week, Russell attempted to describe their special day, and how he was looking ahead to life with his wife. “[We had] one hundred plus of our closest, closest friends, and family,” he recalled. “To share the rest of my life with her, Ciara, is really amazing, she’s the sweetest person I ever met, she’s so kind to so many people, she’s the best mom you’ll ever meet.”
