Now you can extend the romance of a Claire Pettibone design down to your toes. The bridal designer, best known for her ethereal, vintage-inspired dresses, is releasing a capsule collection with Bella Belle that reflects her bohemian and inspiring aesthetic.
“Shoes are a favorite accessory for all women, and a way to show her personal style,” Pettibone tells The Knot in an exclusive statement. “Brides are often looking for a shoe that has a special detail or a bit of a surprise. I wanted to create a wedding shoe that is unique and versatile so that brides will want to wear them even after the big day.”

In fact, brides aren’t the only ones who will want to stock up on these pieces. “These shoes are even beautiful for bridesmaids, and I personally plan on rocking them with jeans,” Pettibone notes.
The limited edition capsule collection launches Wednesday, November 7, and includes four different styles of shoe from Bella Belle. Of course, Pettibone has made each design her own by embellishing the heels with French lace, Guipure appliqués, embroideries, silk, floral motifs and even butterfly designs.
“The chance to add my romantic sensibility to one of my favorite accessories is a dream come true,” Pettibone adds. “When my own daughter saw the first prototypes, what did she do? She put them on immediately, of course… But she’s 11, so she’ll have to wait a few years.”
Of course, the designer has long attracted a very specific clientele, including celebs like Mark Zuckerberg’s wife Priscilla Chan, who married in 2012, and Twilight‘s Nikki Reed, who chose Pettibone for her wedding to Ian Somerhalder.

“When we first saw Claire’s sketches, it was love at first sight,” Bella Belle designers Veronyca Kwan and Erina Ardianto tell The Knot. “We loved the inspiration she drew from nature. Designing shoes is somewhat different from designing other apparel, as there is a very limited area for a shoe designer to work with to tell a story. Claire transitions into designing shoes flawlessly. Bringing her vision to life has been a great joy.”
The shoes range from $355 to $389 on both Bella Belle and Claire Pettibone’s sites. Nordstrom will have these pieces in stock staring January 2019.
