Actress Keshia Knight Pulliam, best known for her role as Rudy on the Cosby Show, announced her engagement to former NFL player Ed Hartwell on Instagram on New Year’s Eve.
“Happy to spend not only my new year but my life with this guy!!!” Pulliam wrote on December 31, 2015, followed by a heart emoji. “#BlessedBeyondMeasure.” The actress and her future husband share a kiss in the photo while showing off Pulliam’s impressive diamond engagement ring.
After becoming the youngest actress to receive an Emmy nomination for her work on the Cosby Show at age 6, Pulliam, now 36, has been working hard in a variety of media. Unlike many child stars who drift out of the spotlight, after her run on the Cosby Show (1984-1992) Pulliam appeared on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne and this year tried her hand at The Celebrity Apprentice, though she was “fired” by Donald Trump in the first episode.
The actress has presented at several speaking engagements throughout the year, appeared alongside Marques Houston in the TV One original movie Will to Love, and hosts “Kandidly Keshia: The Podcast.”
Pulliam’s new fiance Hartwell, 37, is a former NFL linebacker who started his career with the Baltimore Ravens in 2001 followed by the Altanta Falcons in 2004, but may be more recognizable from his appearances on the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Hartwell was previously married to castmember Lisa Wu prior to their divorce in 2012.
To the littlest Cosby Show kid, Keshia Knight Pulliam, we wish you the biggest congratulations on your New Year’s engagement to Ed Hartwell!
