He’s wearing it with pride. Country singer Sam Hunt brought his soon-to-be-wife, Hannah Lee Fowler, to the ACM Awards in Las Vegas this weekend, and he completely lavished her with attention throughout the night.
Hunt first revealed on the red carpet that he and Fowler will make it official even sooner than expected. In fact, he’s been wearing an engagement ring of his own. “I put it on to try it on, and decided it felt too good and I didn’t want to take it off,” he told Entertainment Tonight on Sunday night. “It’s only a few weeks left before we do get married.”
The couple, who only had about four months to plan the nuptials, are looking to host a casual celebration. “[It will be] low-key, low maintenance. We are both kind of introverted people for the most part, so we don’t like celebrating ourselves too much,” he added. “If there ever is a time to do it, it is now, and it is more to celebrate the union of marriage than it is each other. I am excited about doing that.”
Hunt continued to dote on his fiancee during his performance on Sunday night, where cameras panned to the singer walking over to Fowler during his latest smash single, “Body Like a Back Road.” He then sat down beside his future wife and put one arm around her as he serenaded her live. Fowler smiled, blushed and bashfully looked down with embarrassment.
Fowler inspired Hunt’s breakout album, Montevallo, which is the name of her town in Alabama. Their engagement was confirmed in January.
