They do! They really, really do! Marc Markwell and Jennifer Rogers Markwell renewed their wedding vows for the seventh time over Valentine’s Day as part of Northstar California Ski Resort’s Ski, Tōst & Be Married celebration.
On January 22, 2014, the Markwells were set up by a mutual friend on a blind date. “We got engaged two months after we met and then married four months after that,” the couples tells The Knot.
“Marc asked me to marry him in London, England,” Jennifer shares. “He has asked me hundreds of times since then.”
The couple married for the first time on July 27, 2014. “We have been married seven times now (so far!),” the couple says. “We have been married in Tahoe [twice], Burning Man, Santorini, Venice, a Catholic church and finally Northstar!”
The Markwells renewed their vows on The Overlook in The Village with stunning views of the mountains. Jennifer wore a beautiful long silver gown with lace bodice and carried a bright pink bouquet of roses.
“We love renewing our vows,” the spouses share. “It’s so important to keep that sacred vow always in the front of our heart and mind. We were so excited Northstar was doing it on Valentine’s Day!”
The second annual group wedding ceremony is complimentary for any couple who wants to renew their vows or get married on the ski slopes! The celebration included drink specials and live music. This year, 4 couples renewed their vows and many couples professed their love while enjoying the mountain view on Valentine’s Day.
What does renewing their vows mean to the Markwells? “It’s the most important promise of our lives,” Jennifer says. “We will continue to shared the sacred vows again and again throughout our lives. Marc’s goal is to renew our vows hundreds of times.”
