There are a lot of things to take into consideration in the lead-up to a wedding: family dynamics, floral arrangements, photo booth or no photo booth—and for bridesmaids, the concerns are no less, just different.
“Customer insights have shown that throughout the shopping process, price is the most important criteria when choosing both a retailer and a dress,” David’s Bridal buyer Kelsey Hahn Minassian, from the designer bridesmaids division, tells The Knot. With that in mind, David’s Bridal is now launching a new collection of bridesmaid dresses, many available for $100 or less.
“With our Reverie label, we wanted to offer women bridesmaids dresses at an attractive price while speaking to current trends including ruffles, sequins, cold shoulders, wrap dresses and jumpsuits,” Minassian says. “We are really excited about the varying styles this label has to offer, giving brides and their maids the opportunity to mix and match their looks.”
David’s Bridal took into consideration the fact that many couples these days are fans of the “mix and match” approach to bridesmaids dresses, and so, the company has designed complementary styles in the shades that are most on-point with bridal trends.
“For our launch collection, we wanted to establish a color palette that aligned with top trending bridesmaids colors in the market, including navy, pale pink and merlot,” she continues. “As more brides have been incorporating the mix and match trend into their bridal parties, it was important to us to offer complementary colors across all of our styles.”
The company has also “sprinkled in” trendier colors, including slate blue and dusty rose, to give bridal parties more options. The Reverie label will be sold exclusively online (in keeping with consumer trends, which reveal that women are more likely to shop online than in stores due to price differences), and will feature dresses that are flattering to different body types starting November 1. The pieces showcased here will all retail for $99.95.
And the good news doesn’t stop there: the line will continue to evolve to reflect fashion trends while accommodating bridesmaids’ needs. “We plan to continually introduce newness into this collection on a monthly basis to keep the line fresh and on trend,” Minassian says. “Upcoming styles that we see for Spring/Fall 2018 include multi-colored embroideries and beading, casual cleaner silhouettes and more jumpsuits!”
