They’re going to the chapel… maybe! Demi Lovato appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday, February 10. The 23-year-old singer teased she wouldn’t mind an engagement ring from boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama.
Lovato recently shared a photo of actor Valderrama on Instagram for his birthday. “This beautiful man turned 36 today. I thank God every single day that this man came into my life for so many reasons.. But mainly because I’m so blessed to not only have been able to meet such an incredible, loving, funny and inspiring soul, but even more blessed and honored to call him mine. I love you My Wilmer. You deserve the world and more.. Here’s to so many more memories Feliz Cupleanos..”
DeGeneres showed the Instagram post with Valderrama’s image on a big screen for the studio audience and said, “You seem to be a very, very happy couple.” Lovato interrupted to exclaim, “Look at how handsome he is, he’s so handsome.” The talk show host agreed, saying, “He’s very handsome.”
When asked how long they’ve been together, the former Disney star explained, “I met him 6 years ago and we were friends at first. I was head-over-heels and he was like, ‘Stay away until you’re old enough.’ We’ve been on and off for about five, five-and-a-half years.”
DeGeneres stated, “There’s a rumor you’re engaged.” Holding up her left hand, Lovato said, “I don’t see a ring.” She quickly joked, “I wouldn’t mind if I saw one.”

Lovato went on to explain, “There’s time for everything. We’ve been together this long. Obviously, I’m not going anywhere and vice versa.”
The “Cool for the Summer” singer recently shared images on Instagram in honor of her anniversary to the That ’70s Show star. In the first image, the happy couple is snuggled, smiling in bed with Lovato wearing glasses and no makeup. Lovato simply captioned the photo with “6 (heart emoji).” The second post appears to be a collage of their love story timeline. Seven images, taken from 2010 to 2016, were shared to represent their love for one another.
Lovato’s new album, Confident, is available now, while her Future Now tour with Nick Jonas starts at the end of June. We hope there is an engagement in the future for this happy couple!
